Today we photographed Brittany and Adan’s engagement session on the south Texas coast! This couple couldn’t be more perfect for each other – their love was overflowing ON and OFF camera. The weather was absolutely wonderful, not a cloud in the sky and warm winds on the beach.
These shots were all done using the sun as our main light with a Canon speedlite as our hair light. If you’d like more details on
how these shots were composed or posing – feel free to ask!

These are just a few quick edits that we put together tonight from this beautiful shoot.

Well – this moment was ruined!
Always remember that having fun behind the scenes is just as important as the perfect shot.

TriCoast Photography had another great week of teaching!  This was our first year at Texas School of Professional Photography and we are proud to say it was a great success!

We are most humbled by the fact that are class had 90 students apply within seconds of registration….. With that said we were excited and thankful to teach the 30 students that did make it!   It was a week filled with learning,  making new friends,  and discovering new techniques.

Special Thanks to Rich Reisz and Jordan Chan for helping out!!!  You guys ROCK!!!

As many of you know TriCoast was hand picked by the leaders at Kodak out of 1000′s of professional photographers to be displayed in Times Square New York City on the Kodak Marquee.  We were just informed our image “The QB” with Brazoswood High School Senior Class of 2010 and now Texas A&M Student Chase Matzke along with several others is now live for the entire world to see.

Thank you all who have helped support us and guided us through this crazy world of professional photography we are humbled by honors of this nature.

Well last night was my father, Max’s, 50th High School Reunion from Brazosport High School down in Freeport Texas.  So we (TriCoast) wanted to do something special for him and his old friends and we donated our time and our equipment to taking images and printing them out on the spot using our Instant Print Lab.  So Cody and I set up a TON of equipment at the Lake Jackson Civic Center including a individual/couple station and a large 25 foot wide group station.  Nothing fancy here with the decor this is not a Prom, we just wanted large drops with decent/basic lighting so everyone could go home with a photo of themselves and their spouse and any of their friends in group photos.

Last week we were informed that one of our Senior/Grad images had been selected as one of only a handful of portraits to be displayed in a slideshow in the Kodak Times Square Marquee in New York City.  Trying to figure out how this actually happened we had to do a little research to understand it all.  So a call to Kodak was made and the details slowly made themselves clearer to us.

Out of 1000's of images submitted, TriCoast Photography is chosen by Kodak to be displayed in Times Square, New York

Kodak and Times Square

March 24, 2011

And the winner is……

You will just have to wait and see.

We just were informed that TriCoast Photography will have a High School Senior/Grad portrait on the Kodak Times Square Marquee in New York City. Displayed for the entire world to see we will unveil the now “Famous” high school senior/grad very soon and even display the website which everyone can view the images displayed in the slideshow in New York. So no need to travel to New York City to view these images but it of course I would suggest it.

EXCITED to see our work displayed larger than life…… Check back soon for all the details

I (Mike) had the honor of speaking at the WI PPA State convention this past week at the Home of the SuperBowl Champs Green Bay, WI.  Closing down the convention, I admit is a scary time slot to speak.  From experience I have found that after 4 days of partying, learning, sharing and a laughing, after the Awards Ceremony, and after Hotel Check out time usually the vast majority of attendee’s go home leaving me to speak to the Board members and Crickets in the presentation room.  However much to my surprise the room was pretty much packed and stayed that way until the end of the presentation.  Such wonderful times and a pleasure to be around such Blue Collar workers that still have a passion for America and taking pride being hard workers.

Starting off I took a walk in the cold and snow (which by the way was a tough thing to swallow since I just left 70 degree sunny weather and the beach) outside the hotel and ended up at Title Town Brewery
