WI PPA State Convention – Such a Good Time
March 16, 2011I (Mike) had the honor of speaking at the WI PPA State convention this past week at the Home of the SuperBowl Champs Green Bay, WI. Closing down the convention, I admit is a scary time slot to speak. From experience I have found that after 4 days of partying, learning, sharing and a laughing, after the Awards Ceremony, and after Hotel Check out time usually the vast majority of attendee’s go home leaving me to speak to the Board members and Crickets in the presentation room. However much to my surprise the room was pretty much packed and stayed that way until the end of the presentation. Such wonderful times and a pleasure to be around such Blue Collar workers that still have a passion for America and taking pride being hard workers.
Starting off I took a walk in the cold and snow (which by the way was a tough thing to swallow since I just left 70 degree sunny weather and the beach) outside the hotel and ended up at Title Town Brewery
Pretty good food, nice people, great beers (had a few) and amazing cheesecake. All in a pretty good
start to a
Convention.
On the walk back from Title Town Brewery in the middle of all the Snow and Cold Wind I found a fire hydrant which I just knew my wife, Suzy Roberts-Fulton would love. Being an Orange freak (and I mean Freaks amoung the orange freaks) I just had to snap a photo using my old IPhone 3G and send it to her)
The following day I spoke for a total of 5 hours on TTL wireless flash, marketing and volume work and again I must say I was surprised and honored by the response I received, such amazing people with a true and honest passion and desire to become better photographers and people.
Last but not least what is a trip to Green Bay the Home of the SuperBowl Champs, the Green Bay Packers, without a trip to the most honored and prized American Football field in the world. Again just a snap shot taken with my old IPhone 3G but needless to say I must admit, even being a huge Tampa Bay Buc fan, this field has such charm about it. Knowing the history of the team, the city and its Blue Collar working fans, the entire concept of the Green Bay Packers is truly what America is all about. Throw in that they are Super Bowl Champs, the best of the best in American Football well it just makes the story and being at that field even better.
So thank you all Green Bay and WI PPA for the wonderful time, I truly hope to come back to your city (when it is warmer) for a little vacation and site seeing.
